Email Support (FAQ)
iMail Support Information
If you can not find the answer to your question here then try visiting the
ipswitch Web site (makers of IMail). They have an outstanding knowledge base
that can help you find answers to most of your questions. Currently we are
using IMail 6.05.

Changing the password to your e-mail

In the address box type in the URL http://mail.yourdomain.com.
You should be presented with a screen titled "IMail Server Web Messaging".
User ID = your e-mail address. Password will be sent to you after signup.

Click on the Change Password link.

Enter your password in the password box and then type it again in the confirm
password box. Click on the save button.
Be sure to click on the save button.

Creating A New User
You must have administrator access, if you do not then
contact the domain's e-mail administrator.

Using a browser, type in the URL http://mail.yourdomain.com.
You should be presented with a screen titled "IMail Server Web Messaging".
User ID = your e-mail address. Use password assigned by iland after signup.

Click on the User Administration link

Click on the Add button.

UserID: Type in the new user account. For example, if you want to create the
email account useraccount@example.com,
you would only type in useraccount. Please do not fill out any fields past
confirm password. Be sure to click on the save button when
finished.

Setting up Email in Outlook

Open up your Outlook program.

Go to the "Tools" menu and select "Accounts.."

Make sure the "Mail" tab is selected and click the 'Add' button and then
'Mail'. After clicking this a new dialog box will appear that will allow you to
walk through a set up process that will configure your mail for you. You will
only need to fill out a few things, and Outlook will do the rest for you.
Step #1: For your display name you can type whatever you would
like. Your name, your company name, etc...
Step #2: Here you will type the email address that you will
use at iland (yourname@yourdomain.com)
Step #3: For incoming mail, type in (mail.yourdomain.com) and
for outgoing, type in the exact same thing. Leave the incoming mail server type
set to POP3.
Step #4: Here you will type in your account name (your full
email address) and your password for your email.

Setting up Email in Outlook Express

Open up your Outlook program.

Go to the "Tools" menu and select "Accounts.."

Make sure the "Mail" tab is selected and click the 'Add' button and then

only need to fill out a few things, and Outlook will do the rest for you.
Step #1: This is the name that will appear in the "from"
section of the mail. The standard is your real name.
Step #2: Here you will type the email address that you will
use at iland (yourname@yourdomain.com)
Step #3: For incoming mail, type in (mail.yourdomain.com) and
for outgoing, type in the exact same thing. Leave the incoming mail server type
set to POP3.
Step #4: Here you will type in your account name (your full
email address) and your password for your email.

Setting up Email in Netscape

Open up your Netscape Mail program.

Go to the "Edit" menu and select "Preferences"

Click on "Mail Servers" under the Category box
-
Now click the "Add" button by Incoming Mail Servers
-
This will bring up a new window. 1st make sure to select your 'Server Type' to
POP3 Server rather than IMAP. Your server name will be mail.yourdomain.com
and then type in your user name. Hit OK when finished. This will take you back
to the previous window.
When configuring in Netscape 4.0, you must set your email
username as info%mydomain.com@mydomain.com

Lastly, set the Outgoing Mail Server. For the SMTP (see below) type in
mail.yourdomainname.com and then type in your user name. And you are finished!
