Account Executive - VMware, Disaster Recovery, Colocation, High Speed IP Sales
Positions Available (Houston, Dallas, New York, Los Angeles, Boston, Seattle, Atlanta)
iland Internet Solutions is looking for full time Strategic Account Executive to prospect for new customers. Candidate must be energetic, very organized, multi-task oriented, capable of prioritizing opportunities, meeting deadlines, and completing assignments with minimal supervision. Candidate must be well versed in Virtualization technologies, and have a good working knowledge of computer networks.
Sales experience with any of the following technologies a plus: VMware, EMC, XenSource, Citrix, Equallogic, FalconStor, NetApp, etc.
Candidate must be able to strategize and prospect for targeted companies and must be willing to travel about 25% of the time. Must be familiar with datacenter virtualization and consolidation projects using VMware, Disaster Recovery solutions, High Speed IP, CDN, and Managed IT Services and seek out enterprise customers requiring these services. This includes but is not limited to the following market segments:
- Enterprises looking for cost effective Disaster Recovery Solutions
- Web 2.0 companies
- Media and Online Content providers
- Internet technology companies
- SAAS Companies
- Other Emerging Internet Technology companies

Duties:
• Manage the cultivation, execution and delivery of high-end sales and services to an assigned base of large accounts.
• Manage the building of a pipeline within the existing account base in order to expand iland’s penetration, and provide solutions based sales and service offering to customers.
• Management of the ongoing initiative of identifying business, industry and customer buying intelligence.
• Manage the communication and internal coordination of iland sales support infrastructure: sales support, Operations, and executive team to insure customer education and satisfaction.
• Responsible for the successful seamless transition or clients from new sales to strategic sales management team.
• Manage and maintain the large customer relationship, insuring that all assigned accounts have adequate information availability coverage, and ultimately be responsible for customer satisfaction.
• Responsible for the development, execution and delivery of quality solution focused client presentations.
• Responsible for the initiation, arrangement and attendance for client tours as is needed.
• Manage the ongoing need to understand inter-related technologies that exist in the environment we sell and keep current on new technology and opportunities as the business and technologies expand.
• Exceptional ability to motivate and influence key contacts and decision makers required.
• Proven ability to listen, extrapolate information and leverage iland and partner resources to effectively provide solutions to customer.
• Ability to maintain and expand existing account relationships required.
• Excellent ability to communicate at all levels within an organization required.
• Ability to effectively learn technical products, services and solutions and readily apply new knowledge is required.
• Proficiency in Windows based applications (WORD, EXCEL and Power Point) highly preferred.
Characteristics of the Candidate
- Experience with Managed Servers, Server and data center virtualization (VMWare), IP (Data/Networking), Colocation, Managed IT, or CDN Industry highly desirable.
- Ability to develop relationships at every level to get to the decision-maker.
- Strong account management and relationship skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment and with other partners when necessary.
- Positive and winning attitude.
- Proven ability to listen, extrapolate information and leverage resources to effectively provide solutions to customer needs.

Requirements
- 4 Year College Degree Required
- 7+ years of IT industry experience
- Excellent communication and presentation skills (telephone, written, WebX, etc.)
- Ability to multitask effectively
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
