VMware provider iland was one of four companies first to market with support of VMware vCenter^™ Site Recovery Manager 5. The disaster recovery solution offers VMware vSphere^® replication and planned migration capabilities supporting heterogeneous storage platforms to provide simple, cost-efficient replication between VMware vSphere clusters. iland Continuity Cloud integrates with VMware vCenter Site Recovery Manager 5 to provide a hosted VMware replication target with dynamic auto-tiered storage ensuring customers' complete, automated recovery of their most critical assets.
 

First VMware vCloud Powered Provider to Deploy VMware Network Virtualization

VMware Network virtualization enables the dynamic creation of virtual networks that are entirely independent from the physical network hardware. Similar to the way that server virtualization separates virtual machines (VMs) from the underlying x86 server hardware to transform the operational model of compute, network virtualization separates software-based virtual networks from the underlying network hardware to offer a new operational model for networking. It can be deployed on an existing network without changing or disrupting anything and transforms the physical network into a pool of capacity that can be consumed and repurposed on demand.
