iland delivers cloud Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) where servers, storage, network and other capabilities are delivered to customers on-demand as a service for the purpose of running customer applications in the cloud.
iland has developed a comprehensive 8-point security methodology that encompasses both physical and cloud-based security features. This methodology has allowed the most demanding Healthcare and Financial service providers to deliver SaaS-based applications on our infrastructure. Many of our clients have chosen iland because we can support complex security requirements through dedicated connections, role based access controls, data protection and log management capabilities.
iland provides 24x7 infrastructure support via our Customer Support Portal where customers can create and track tickets and obtain updates from iland Support personnel. iland also offers toll-free 24x7 infrastructure support telephone numbers in both the USA and UK and a dedicated Support email address.
iland provides a four nines SLA on the availability of all critical infrastructure elements including network, compute and storage.
iland also provides performance-level SLAs as well as recovery time SLAs for managed disaster recovery services. For details, please refer to your Master Service Agreement.
iland's multi-tenant cloud infrastructure provides a 99.99% uptime SLA. iland provides customers with an architecture that's highly available and fault tolerant. Based on VMware technology it is self-healing to ensure consistent performance. The infrastructure has been designed from the ground up to meet enterprise-level business critical applications and provides options for managed backup & recovery as well as disaster recovery in another iland datacenter.
iland offers Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) which means that our customers and partners manage the operating system and application layers of their virtual machines. We have many customers running virtual Microsoft windows servers with Exchange in our environment but they are responsible for operating and maintaining it and any other email applications.
Moving from a traditional physical environment to a virtual environment allows for greater flexibility and scalability around the consumption of workload capacity i.e. CPU, RAM, disk, etc. This flexibility allows SaaS providers to consume and deliver the exact quantity of resources for their software applications required by their customers.
iland provides many OS and application licensing options on a consumption basis which gives organizations greater flexibility and scalability when it comes to providing software on a SaaS basis. Read more about iland's SaaS cloud.
Yes – we have customers from all industries developing, publishing and using iland’s cloud environment for testing and developing these applications.
Yes. iland customers with short-term projects can use our PAYG Resource Pools allowing them to pay only for the resources they consume during the time they consume them.
Long-term projects are typically billed on a Reservation Pool basis. Our contract terms are typically 12, 24 & 36 months for reservation pools but we do have organizations that pay on a quarterly, semi-annual or annual basis rather than a fixed cost up front.
If a short-term project needs to be converted to a long-term project customers can migrate resources to the Reservation Pool pricing model.
All iland customers regardless of their reservation pool size have a 99.99% SLA and full access to iland support. Customers looking to further enhance their uptime capabilities can subscribe to resources in a secondary iland location for disaster recovery purposes. For details, please refer to your Master Services Agreement.
iland Cloud Services offers tremendous flexibility for customers to subscribe or consume on-demand additional workload capacity. Customers have the ability to rapidly create additional virtual guests or expand resources allocated to existing virtual guests.
Yes, iland personnel work with customers to gather the key metrics needed to ensure each customer’s solution has the necessary compute, network and storage performance that meets both their current and future needs.
All iland Cloud Services is vCloud powered and purpose-built for enterprise-level, mission-critical production capabilities. We have a wide variety of customers and industries that use our cloud resources for mission-critical production applications and databases as well as disaster recovery solutions.
iland continuously replicates its own applications and data between our own sites. Our own mission-critical and support systems are replicated between our primary and secondary sites to ensure performance and high availability should a loss of service occur.
Customers that need a similar disaster recovery plan for their applications and data should discuss the various disaster recovery solutions that iland offers, together with a plan that will best fit their organization.
While iland Cloud Infrastructure is designed for enterprise-level production environments, iland is primarily an Infrastructure-as-a-Service company. This means that we can provide enterprise resources using an OPEX cost model, but customers will still need in-house or partner expertise for managing operating systems and application level services. Your IT department can leverage iland for excess capacity but you control the set-up of your catalogs and have the ability to restrict user access based on roles. This level of control enables your teams to access resources on a self-service basis, freeing up the IT department to focus on strategic or revenue generating initiatives.

The iland Cloud Service is a public cloud with many features of a private cloud. Public cloud components include economies of scale from a cost perspective, high scalability, and increased redundancy in capacity due to the size of iland’s public cloud environment.
Components that are similar to a private cloud are private networking, dedicated virtual firewalls, isolated resource pools and detailed billing capabilities. iland Dedicated Cloud offers private cloud hosting services.
