Main power
Dual-redundant 20MVA, 33kV dedicated underground mains feeds, 4×11kV supplies from ring supplied from two substations. Three (five ultimate) x 3.8MVA 11kV diesel-driven emergency power generators. Automatic start in less than one minute to feed 100 percent of the facility. Fuel storage for 24 hour continuous operation at 100 percent load.
UPS
Three separate systems of five x 625kVA Hybrid Rotary UPS modules providing 2500kVA output each with N+1 redundancy. Total facility UPS capacity: 7500kVA N+1, 15-minute battery autonomy per UPS module. Dual-redundant A and B distribution possible.
DC
- Four x 6000Amps -48VDC power system for Telecom network Equipment
- Four hours of battery autonomy
Closed circuit television (CCTV)
CCTV monitoring and recording of all access points and circulation areas.
Physical
Minimum floor-to-ceiling clearance: 2,570mm from top of raised floor—550mm average raised floor height, depending on floor. Raised Floor Loading 14kN/m² with structural Floor Slab 21kN/m².
General facilities
Dedicated loading area, storage area (125 sq.m), and two goods lifts (maximum loads of 3,950kg and 4,400kg).
Fire strategy
Very Intelligent Early Warning (V.I.E.W.) detection—above and below raised floor—with smoke extract system at 12 air changes per hour and double-interlocked pre-action dry pipe sprinkler system.
Security
Full electronic access control system, based on Proximity cards, PIN keypads, and Biometric Palm-scanners for colocation rooms.
Building monitoring system (BMS)
24×7x365 local monitoring and logging of environment alarms and conditions with critical alarm repeating to London and Denver, as well as full perimeter under-floor leak detection linked to building monitoring system.
Telecom infrastructure
Facility designed to accommodate standard rack/cabinets of 2,200mm nominal height. Power distributed underfloor, fibre and copper cabling distributed overhead (fibre within a managed containment system, copper within a heavy-duty racking system). The building has two fibre access points.
Environment
Cooling Criteria: 750W/m², 21°C+/- 2°C, 50%RH +/- 10%. Underfloor cooling air distribution with N+1 Perimeter down-flow chiller water cooling units. 13×1100kWr Air-cooled package chillers giving 12,100kWr with N+2 redundancy.
